usb 3.0 help

I have an asrock 990fx extreme3 mobo and a NZXT phantom full tower chassis.
The chassis has a usb 3.0 slot on the front. The mobo has usb 3.0 at the rear but not a connection for the lead which comes with the chassis.

This sounds daft even as I type it but I am going to ask anyhow. Is it possible to buy some sort of mobo extension that would do the job?

I have a USB 3 PCI card that has a USB header on it, that plugs into the extension on my case.

Not sure if OCUK does this though. Nor am i sure it is true USB3 speeds.

Looking at the board it uses an Etron controller for USB 3.0, and they're pretty pants at it to be honest.
