Can anyone recommend any 3.0 Hubs? Doesn't matter if it needs external power, I have the plug sockets, just not the USB sockets!

If not 3.0, any 2.0 would do.

I bought an Anker Uspeed USB 3.0 7-Port Hub recently for about £40 - it is powered externally and even has an additional 1.5A and 2A usb sockets for charging only. It works perfectly and the ports are separated enough to be able to get memory sticks and dongles in easily. The only negative is that the power supply is a bit of a brick, but can't fault the build quality at all.

One thing to watch out for with any USB hub is the psu that comes with it, especially with USB3 which can supply far more per port.

I've seen a "bargain" 7 port USB 3 hub with a PSU that was all of 2.5amp or something - not even enough power for all 7 ports to pull USB levels of juice, let along the 900ma that (from memory) USB3 can supply.

How much is a good current per USB slot?
