I wonder if any of you had/have an issue with USB 3.0?
I got it after RMA. Overclockers replaced the whole motherboard because it was faulty. I have ASUS P6X58D-E motherboard. I get a message like this: http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=145528.0 (USB 3.0 Host Controller not found) when I run the driver I installed. It does not show up at all (not even an "unknown device"). NOTHING.
At one point it seemed to have appeared after I plugged in a random device such as NVIDIA 3D USB and it disappeared again and never came back. What it does is just powers it but not makes it work. I only have USB 2.0 devices but they worked fine when I first bought it.
One thing to note that one port at the back gives power to some devices only or the front one if the back cable connected. And the other one on the back doesn't react to anything.
I am on Windows 7 64bit. I updated BIOS to the latest. NEC USB 3.0 is enabled in BIOS and I tried the latest drivers, I have the latest intel chipset installed. Every USB 2.0 works even at the front. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling usb 2.0 and controllers did not help.
Can anyone confirm that it is a motherboard with faulty usb 3.0 ports from the given explanation (in red) above and there is no way to fix it. Thanks.
