Morning
One of the pins on the motherboard broke off. Very last one before the missing pin
Was wondering if there is a way to replace just that or whole of the plastic socket with pins need to be replaced
Has anyone took a stab at it?
Cheers

Haven't tried it myself, but those pins are pretty big so I'd just try to solder the pin back on myself. Then maybe plug in an adapter that you can just leave in the motheboard to prevent any strain on that pin when unplugging it in the future.

You could avoid any risk to the motherboard by purchasing an expansion card(probably pci-e) with an internal USB 3.0 header, you can pick one up for £10 - £15.

Not sure i'd risk solder work on my mobo but if you're comfortable doing it, pretty much anything can be sourced if you know where to look(sorry i can't help there).

you can put a pin into the cable & a blob of solder on the end - and force it into the socket.

Not neat, but if it makes a connection the other pins will keep it secure.
