I have an Edimax nLite wireless adapter, which i was using on my pc most of the time (cable networking isnt an option currently) and i had upload speed problems (but download was always at 20mb). So i bought a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 Dual band PCI adpater (450mbps with 2.4ghz and 5ghz with 3 antennas) to replace it. Thing is, the pci adapter sorted the upload speed problem out, and i even get less ping, but the download speed is less than 1mb!
There's currently a BT Homehub (2) used for wireless connection, and now whenever im downloading i have to switch to USB adapter, and when i want to play online games, i have to enable the PCI adapter for the better ping and upload for Teamspeak.
How in God's green earth can i sort this out??? Is it a simple case of buying a new router (like a 450mbps wireless 5ghz capable one?).
All I can say is the router is 1 floor below, and if a line was drawn from the pc to the router it'd be about 15-20ft
