I recently installed the windows 7 64bit operating system on my PC. I noticed through research how none of the USB adaptor on market are not compatible with this operating system and for the ones that are...there seems to be a lot of complaints by the buyers.

Can anyone give me advice to which usb adaptor for internet connection to a router would be best?

it would be even better if someone has already got windows 7 64bit and a fully functioning usb adaptor for there internet connection.

No CD needed, Windows downloaded and installed the drivers automatically. It was up and running in about 15 seconds.

c that is what i dont understand...if i go amazon and lok up the usb adaptor u jus mentioned..it clearly only states the vista/98 etc???

my general rule of thumb: if it worked with vista, then it should work with 7.

off the top of my head, i cant think of any particular piece of hardware/software that goes against that. I am aware there are a few incompatabilitied, but none i can immeadietely think of.

ive worked it out at last...i bought a d-link adaptor..woeks perfect..even thoiugh it says on the cover that its only compatible wit windows vista and no higher...ha ha ha

As it was likely released long before Windows 7 came to be, I'm unsure exactly why you find it so amusing . Backwards compatibility isn't exactly new...
