Hi guys,

I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard and everyhing is running great. I also have an Akasa Soprano case which has 2 ports on the top which i can connect to the motherboard.

This is where i have the problem. The motherboard USB ports have a 9 pin configuration (a bank of 5 and then 4) yet the connection from the case has only 5 in a single bank. I plugged it in on what i thought was the correct (straight 5 pin to 5 pin) but when i did this the computer would not power on.

Is there any way i can get these usb ports to work?

Thanks

Flip it round as you have it the wrong way.
The reason the PC won't boot is because you have connected a USB signal line to ground.
