Hi all

I have a couple of (separate) problems i hope someone can help me with.

1) USB not working
PC is WinXP which i recently had to do a repair on. However my USB no longer seems to work. I plug in but mouse and joystick don't seem to register. In Device manager it says i have universal serial bus controllers - 1 Std enhanced, 2 StdOpen and 2 USB root hub. I am thinking that maybe the repair of WinXP and subsequest download of SP2 may have messed up USB? Any idea's what's up?

2) COM port (maybe) not working
An old Dell Pentium with Win98. Device Manager says the Com pots are working but Win 98 can't detect the Modem. Though in Device Manager the Modem is still showing as OK. All the lights on the Modem just flash - which i assume meansd not connected - i ahve tried a different Modem with the same results. Is it possible that the COM pot#rt is just not working?

Thanks
