Hey guys,
I've set a webcam (MS VX 3000) up for my Dad but we're having a few technical problems using the cam on Skype. Using the cam standalone, offline, things seem okay – we can record videos and take pictures etc.
We start running into difficulties when using the cam online, in particular, with Skype. The picture is very juddery and freezes and stutters ever few seconds… I tried changing the resolution of the video, thinking it might be an adsl bandwidth issue, but that hasn’t fixed anything. He's got a very quick 2 MB connection btw.
A friend who has a similar setup with the VX 3000 says that his mate messed about with "other settings," possibly including adjusting the usb bandwidth of the cam.
Does anyone know anything about this, or how I'd go about improving the quality of his cam when he’s using Skype?
Cheers,
SW.
