USB Bootable Linux Distro's?

I know puppy can be bootable easily from a usb stick but what about the bigger distro's i.e ubuntu?

ok thanks. With puppy linux there is actually something built into it that automatically installs it to your usb stick which is fantastic. Just wondered if any of the bigger distros had a simillar inbuilt function to install to usb?
