Hi
I've got a neighbour who is on BT broadband and uses a USB modem locally connected to her PC. Now I know ethernet is miles better and I've only ever used Ethernet or Wireless Ethernet for myself, but I don't know exactly how BT broadband works with that USB modem. As far as I can tell, as its USB it acts as a dial up modem rather than a permanently connected routing device. Is that right?
To convert, do I just enter the details stored in that dial up connection and bang them into a decent router?
