USB-C Alternative to Logitech G903?

I've had a Logitech G903 for a few years now. It charges via Micro USB, which was fine whilst my HyperX wireless headset also charged that way, but at Xmas I bought a new headset that charges via USB-C and it's made me want to switch the mouse to the same charging format.

A deal breaker is the switch between 'free-wheeling scroll wheel' and 'clicky scroll wheel'. (Generally, I like free-wheeling, for spinning up and down websites, but if a game needs the wheel for changing weapons, it needs to be clicky)

I have a USB-C smaller Logitech mouse which I use for work, which is similar. The wheel changes from one to the other, as you spin harder/faster, it goes free. I tried gaming with it, it's not bad, but feels a bit odd being a smaller mouse.

So, any thoughts?

(Mind you, if it's £99 to change to USB-C... maybe I'll stay put for a while longer)

Maybe not the ideal option, but what if you used a small adapter or cable to convert and provide (what I assume) would be a male micro USB to female USB C?

Yeah fair enough. I'm not aware of any "shim" like adapter which i've used in past with Rasp PIs to switch formats. Been searching but best I can find is adapters approx 21mm long :(
