USB C Cables and Accessories

Can I just ask for this cable compliance is it only if you are charging off the 3 amp charger? If your using an older charger/PC/Laptop/Cig Lighter I assume any of the cables will be OK?

EDIT/ I see it's the other way round, wish we could have some more info for UK cables. Don't fancy spending £10 a cable seems crazy!

EDIT2/ On Orzly website the 4 cables are back at £29.99. On eBay they are still £10.00. Maybe worth grabbing them quickly incase they go up?

Got a type C car charger coming this weekend to try out as it seems my 2A doesnt work even with a C cable in it.

Just need a final 2m C cable now. Got the orzly pack when it was cheap for everything else.

Type C powerbank from Anker, could be one to review.

Not worth buying at current price though (£32).

£30 is a fair price for a genuine 20,000mAh device (which it should be from Anker) you aren't gonna get much cheaper than that with actual a grade cells.

Posted in the N6P thread too...

+Amazon.com has just made a change to their "Prohibited listings" for Electronics.

They've added the following line :
Any USB-C™ (or USB Type-C™) cable or adapter product that is not compliant with standard specifications issued by “USB Implementers Forum Inc.”

What does this mean? It means that cable manufacturers who sell poorly made or intentionally deceptive #USB #TypeC cables and adapters are banned from Amazon, officially.

Really great news, but we all have to continue to be vigilant and call out any bad products we find on Amazon and other stores (both online and brick and mortar) as we find them.

I'm struggling to find a simple USB C to USB C to replace my original cable that came with my Nexus 5X!

£25 from Google seems a bit steep.

I picked up this with no regrets, if it helps?

Also, while I'm here - has anyone come across decent accessory options for the 5x? like a battery case, or even an alarm clock radio with a type c dock? I'm shocked that there's this massive gap in the market.

Cheers, found an Anker USB c to c on rainforest for £6.99, but need to spend £20 to get free delivery.
