infornt of my PC
I've started to look at cases and preferably looking at full towers and midi cases.
What I have noticed is a lot of interest in USB C ports but in reality, does anyone use them?
Everything I have at the moment is USB A.
The cases I seem to be drawn to either have 4 USB A's (full towers) or 2xUSB A and 1x USB C (midis).

There will be a USB C on the back of the motherboard anyway and just wondering it its worth a case with this on in too. I assume that I could always add an expansion card if I didn't have one to start with.

I have several devices with USB-C ports on them, but they all work fine with USB-C-to-A cables, so I don't really need the USB-C ports on my PC. I expect USB-C to become the most common connector type eventually though, at which point USB-C-to-C cables will be convenient.

So, I prefer to have USB-C ports on my PC, but I wouldn't turn down a case just because it had none.

I agree as time moves on, more and more tech will be USB C. My son's new mobile is usb c and charger is usb c also, so comes bundle with type c to c cable. If case has it on front, it will make charging a phone (for example) easier on the fly rather than peering round the back. If your mobo doesn't support front usb c though, end of dilema

Yeah it’s slowly becoming more common, for the longevity factor, I now look at cases and part of my requirements are type C.

My iPhone and iPad are type C, and I have an ASUS Arion m.2 NVME SSD portable drive so it’s handy having type C at the front/top so I can get fast transfer speeds.

Having bought a case recently, quite surprised how little options there are for Type C ports - possibly no pressing need as space taken up by ports isn't really a concern. Having said that all my devices are moving towards Type C - so any opportunity to switch is a good welcome
