USB C power passthrough not working

My XPS 13 has just had a firmware update, and now my USB C Displayport adapter will not work properly. It works for display and peripherals when my charging lead is unplugged. The moment I plug it in to the adapter, the display + peripherals disconnect and even the charging is not passed through to my laptop.

Any idea on how I could diagnose and fix this?

You've kind of answered your own question here I'm afraid... It worked before the firmware update, and doesn't work after, firmware the issue????

Yes, I meant how could I fix this without rolling back the firmware should've been clearer. Are there any software/BIOS settings to look at that could affect this?
