So USB-C seems to be the new uber wonder port. The more I read about it the more I wonder why laptops/tablets would need any other socket on them. In Thunderbolt 3 implimentation it seems to be able to do anything.

But, I am really struggling to find any decent TB3 hubs or port replicator devices. As USB-C can do anything USB can, plus also output up to 2x 4K resolution monitors I was hoping I would be able to find a great, compact, self powered hub that has an Ethernet socket, some USB ports, VGA, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort, or even just a subset of them. But I can only seem to find the odd few, or stuff that looks rather Chinese knock off esque, with questionable reviews.

Am I being blind? Is there a selection of USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 hubs out there I'm missing?

I'm currently using an older Dell XPS13 laptop with Mini DisplayPort. In my bag I also have to kart around a USB to Ethernet adapter, a Mini DP to VGA, Mini DP to HDMI, Mini DP to DVI, Mini DP to DP, and a charger. I'm moving to a new XPS15 that has Thunderbolt 3 rather than Mini DP, so all these are surplus now and I was hoping to get an all in one replacement :(

The more I search the more I think I'm just going to end up with 3 seperate adapters, one for VGA, one for DVI and one for DisplayPort (the laptop has a full size HDMI in it). Shame.
