I need a male A to male A USB cable, have had a look around and all I can find is the Belkin Windows Vista Easy Transfer Cable and it costs £17! is this JUST a cable or does it have something else built in? Is there something complicated about a male A to male A USB cable that makes it cost this much when a male to female can be had for a couple of quid or is it just because no one wants them?

can someone give me a product name for a cheaper one or am I just going to have to splash out?

thanks in advance

The Belkin cable comes with software to allow transfer of data between two PCs. It is effectively a peer to peer network cable.

You should be able to find an A-A cable with some web searching.

I think it also has some electronics in it, iirc a straight connection between 2 PC's could result in damage to them.
