I want connect my laptop to my old WD3000GLFS VelociRaptor and WD5000AACS sata/16mb cache. Can anyone recommend a cable to do this please.

You will need a powered USB -> Sata Drive dock such as the below.
It is important it is a powered adapter, as USB itself will not provide the required 12v power needed for 3.5" hard drives (or the Velociraptor)
