Keep getting this error message pop up when I resume from sleep mode on my windows 7 64 bit machine. only started yesterday. I have tried deleting the device in question which is listed as "unknown" from task manager and also uninstalling the drivers for the device. I have tried unplugging all of my USB cables and reconnecting them.

Any ideas on how to fix this annoying error message.
Thanks in advance :)

Have you checked device manager? to see if anything is unknown

check to see if win7 is putting your devices to sleep - when you goto sleep mode (power off)

Yes there is an unknown device in task manager, I have been deleting it and uninstalling it the drivers for the unknown device. It didn't help. I also went in windows 7 Power settings and disabled USB selective suspend setting, this didn't help the issue.

Thanks for your help so far :).

Just did a quick scan via google for Error code 43 -win7

Came up with this but i have no idea if its the solution

1. Click "Start" button, type “devmgmt.msc” (without quotation marks) in the “Search” bar and press "Enter". Click “Continue” if necessary.

2. In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".

3. Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".

Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.
