Hello,

I've just recently plugged my USB cable into my laptop and Samsung galaxy note 10.1, and its rooted. However, I get the message in the title """"USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNISED""" I've tried it on THREE computers and get the same prompt (all windows 7 64 bit may I add). reinstalled usb drivers etc but no luck.

The cable works fine whilst charging the tablet though, so not sure what the problem is. Got loads of apps on, and thinking of doing a restore (wiping everything off) or can someone advise me as to what it "May" be (its worked before of course, but if I want to unroot it, which I do, I cant. the tablet works ok, but this is niggling me a bit

TIA

Tony

Thanks for the reply. Yes tried debugging etc, but my brother is bringing his tablet cable today so will see if its that. If it was the cable though wouldn't it charge my device up? Thanks for reply

I had this happen to me with a Samsung galaxy s3, I tried everything and anything to get it to connect and had no luck. I managed to root it back via the sd card. I think the usb port went dicky but mine would still charge just as you say. I used mobile odin to flash it back the the stock rom.

Well the cable works thanks !. Didn't think it would be a cable issue.

RE: SD card Scriv, didn't think about that, that said, its never good having a dodgy usb port (on tab(?). all ok now. oddly enough though, even though mines rooted, it says "official" in settings >device status, where as I though it should say "custom" (which it has done before)..
