Strange problem my system is rock solid, no problems but when I shut down my
pc my Linksys wireless adapter and my usb joystick controller are still powered.
All this started happening when I flashed f7 bios.

Thanks in advance.

Hardware:

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2
MSI GeForce 7900 GTO SILENT 512MB GDDR3
Enermax 430W PSU

I've noticed this on some mobo's.
Some do it, some don't.

Is there an option in the BIOS relating to powerup via USB?
Check where the WOL settings are and see if there's a wake on USB and/or USB Voltage when in soft-off.

Otherwise re-flash to previous BIOS.

Thanks it was an option in the power management options in the bios "wake on pme" set this to disable and problem solved I really should keep my eye open.
fyi this is enabled by default to allow usb ports to charge ipods and other portable devices while the pc is powered off.

Cheers for your help mon capitan.
