Want to watch freeview on my PC but have to rule out the PCI tuners.

My only PCI card slot in my Shuttle is occupied by a soundcard that I don't wish to remove.

Was thinking of purchasing one of the USB tuners.

How do they compare to the PCI versions? Anybody here have one?

Tempted by the Leadtek version as its the cheaper out of the 3 available at OCUK.

I have got an external USB box made by Artec.

Perhaps not the best brand name , but very good picture quality .

(£50 from D***** ( Crappy High Street Retailer ! ) about 12 months ago)

a lot depends on signal strength etc.

From memory , when i was looking Hauppage make an external box " Nova " which was rated quite highly.

Cheers,

Mark

Got the Freecom DVB stick myself. Reception through the provided aerial is non-existant at home or work where I bought it for to pass the nightshifts Bah!. Both are in a "good" area according to the freeview site.
Plugged it into the house aerial though and its very impressive quality.
