USB - do you wish to format?

Hi there,

I have some information on an usb drive which i need to get at but whenever i click on the e drive (usb) it asks if i want to format?

How do i recover the data?

Mmmm, tried opening it using a live Linux like Knoppix?

Otherwise I'd try a data recovery software like Easy Recovery Pro

is that recovery software free?

I tried linux (ubuntu) and it says: "Unable to mount the selected volume"

Not free but I'm sure there are trial versions on P2P with enough functionality to get you out of trouble.
