Hi
I'm hoping someone will be able to help here.
I have a no name 4gb USB stick which I'm aware there was a small problem with (one or two bad sectors) but I had continued using it for the odd thing here and there.
The other day, it started playing up and I have managed to recover some files of interest using recovery software but would have liked to recover everything.
So I decided to use win 10's chkdsk when it suggested it should be scanned to fix issues.
After it's done it's thing, the drive reported 0kb and cannot format - system just doesn't recognise drive as valid media (when double click, it says 'please insert media').
Under disk mgmt, it's there, but there's no unallocated space / valid partition to work with.
In recovery software, there's no drive to work with.
Is it the end or is there still hope?
Thanks!
