USB Drive problem

Hey all

My mum's USB pen drive was fine a minute ago, but now when she plugs it into her laptop, it says it isnt formated, and should it format now?

I cant actually access the drive, and theres important school documents on there, so does anyone know how to get arround this?

Do you have another PC you can try it on there? Does it do the same thing?

Seems like its been fried mate. Saw it happen to 2 USB sticks at uni on the same machine. Mate 1 puts USB stick in, didnt work. Mate 2 tries USB in same machine, didnt work. Both try in other machines, neither worked
