USB Drive Secuirty

I want to encrypt my files on my usb stick, but be able to put in a password and use the files on the fly when I want to on any PC.

Is there any free software like Truecrypt that will allow this on PC's where I don't have admin rights, e.g. at work?

Winrar might work. You can create a .zip archive with a password on it

But then I would have to unzip it everytime I want to use the files.

Have a look at the Kingston Datatraveler Secure Privacy range of USB sticks. This does everything you mention, has 256Bit encryption, nothing installed on the host PC and is home office approved.
