Hi guys, just built a Precision Workstation 390 yesterday, it seems the system keeps installing the wrong drivers for the USB controllers (i think its trying to install the RAID drivers).

But when i uninstall them and want to use a different driver i cant because they automatically just install the other ones again without even giving me a chance to stop it, does anyone know how i might stop it doing it automatically?

Cheers in advance.

Does USB not function without the controller?

I thought late service packs resolved this!?

Perhaps disable / uninstall the device in device manager, then update drivers using Windows Update!

Just tried it via Windows Update, it just gives me the option of the original weird driver or the standard microsoft one. Cant get USB to work properly with either, if you reinstall either of the drivers USB works fine until you reboot and then it doesnt work at all. I think i may have to wait for a BIOS update.

Cheers.
