Do you think its possible in any way to RAID 1 two USB drives?

My boss have ordered 4 x 500gb USB drives, he wanted to RAID 1 two of them, one of the remaining drives I have on my desk, i was supposed to RAID 1 that drive with another USB drive thats in the server room.

When he said that some months ago I said that it might be not possible at all, but hey we have the drives now in the office.

I cant get these USB drives as dynamic drives as well. Do you need drives to be dynamic if you want to creat any RAID at all?

We have some raid card and some drives set up as RAID 5, we have had few failures and never managed to recover any data.

I think we better use these drives as some sort of backup solution, if thats all we can do with them.

Thanks for any help given in advance.

no you can't

best option would be to use robocopy at the end of each day to transfer from drive a to drive b

if it's g:\ with you, share the other drive on the server and map it on yours as x:\

robocopy /E g:\ x:\

that will copy new & updated files to the 2nd drive, run that script at the end of the day or midnight whatever

it's not bleed :/

robocopy really is the bomb, most corporate companies use it for certain tasks, it's made by microsoft and it's free
