USB Ethernet Adapter

What computer (bar some Macbooks) don't have ethernet these days? Never used one but I assume they work, albeit unremarkably, otherwise they wouldn't be sold

Anyone used a USB Ethernet Adapter if they do not have a RJ45 port?

Just wondered how good they actually are.

.

I bought a Digitus Gigabit Ethernet USB 3.0 Adapter a month or so ago for an old machine that's only got a 10/100 onboard nic.

Admittedly it's only a USB2 mobo, but even then it doubled the transfer speeds across the network for that machine, and as it was <£20, wasn't a bad buy at all in my opinion.

I've also got an old netbook that's only 10/100 that I've turned into a bit of a pseudo server that might get use of it at some point if I can get it working on Ubuntu ;)
