Hello,
I am a bit confused with this. So here is some info on my setup
3950x
Aorus Master X570
Coolermaster C700p
Corsair HX1000
Huawei Mate 8 with micro usb
So i have plugged the front 4 usb3 to the 2 headers that are on the mobo and they work fine.
I have an issue with usb's not charging my phone and i tried all both front and back. Only one i didnt try is the usbc as the phone is micro usb. They are going dreadfully slow or actually my phone loses power.
I understand my phone consumes electricity because i use it as my hotspot until openreach decides to fix the line at my house, but still when i connect it to it's proper charger it charges really fast (9V and 2A).
Also if i connect the phone at my work pc which has usb3 charges ok, albeit a bit slower compared to the dedicated huawei charger, but still charges quite adequatelly. In comparison on my pc usb3's i might get 1% of battery charge in hours. Possibly the hotspots drinks a lot of juice so there is another test to do, charge without the hotspot.
Ill download a battery app that checks how much electricity is being used to monitor the different methods just wanted to hear your thoughts.
