USB Flash Drive...Corrupt.

My younger brother uses his old MP3 player, a Creative Muvo USB stick (64mb) to cart files between home and college.

The memory seems corrupt. I am unable to format.

Is there a free application that will allow me to perform a low-level format to try and cure the drive?

Cant windows do it?

Plug it into your pc right click on my computer and click "manage" then click disk management . Click driver f or whatever your mp3 player is called and then right click on the bar of the driver click on format.

I did this to a pen drive when it decided to not work and it worked ok.

No offence but of course I had tried the usual stuff before posting.

Thanks guys, it's only 64mb so I think it's one for the bin.
