USB FREEVIEW RECORDER? ANY GOOD?

Hi,
Looking at Teknikal HD Freeview Receiver/Recorder Set Top Box DV3
and it seems a good deal for the price. What do people think?

It seems to record onto USB which is ideal for my nana. However it only records what you are watching.

A Panasonic one for about £180 is an option however this seems decent for the price.

Recommendations please?

TBH, it's only marginally more useful than sticking a USB stick in the telly and recording direct to that.

Of course, you don't have to be watching the Technika. It could be used like an old school VCR. Set it to timer record, put it in standby, then watch live via the TV.
