I'm trying to find one that just does the job, it doesn't have to have fancy recording capabilities. As long as I can watch Freeview channels I'll be happy. If anyone can recommend me one I'd be eternally grateful :)

I use a Pinnacle PCTV Nano and it works fine. The bundled software is a total mess, but Windows media centre works great with it.

Black Gold cards are considered to be the highest quality tuners, i had BGT3620 DVB-T2 dual tuner and it was the best card i had and come in the best packaging.

I've got a Hauppage dual tuner USB dongle that works fine. Specifically bought as they typically work well with linux as well as windows.

I've had an august USB TV tuner. Made the picture flicker when overheating (that's what I think was happening anyway). Not a fan. I have a Blackgold PCI-E card instead. Can't complain.

Compro probably a better bet.
