I have 6 connectors for my front panel USB they are TPA+, TBA-, TPB+. TPB-, VP & VG. On the mobo it has the pin assignment labeled as

1 VC
2 VCC
3 Data0-
4 Data1-
5 Data0+
6 Data1+
7 Ground
8 Ground
10 NC

what goes where? I am assuming the TPA & TPB match up with Data0 & Data1 plugs but not sure which way & they are so fiddley to keep swapping around.

Depends on the case, its pretty simple depending on the case....

Most good upto date cases come with a block so its not that hard these days, though older cases didnt, i had to mod one of mine to make it work, an old Antec one.

This one?..... there's a manual download link on that page, it explains the wiring pretty well, though is doesnt seem 100% accurate to the details you gave.

I'd rather you read it for yourself though then say plug it this way or that way and then find out you blew the PC up, lol.......

Once you understand whats what though its pretty simple really.

Could you take a pic of the cables you have?..... sometimes its easier to compare them to a block like this..... and go from there...
