z77a g43, bought in may.
the first usb header on my mobo is semi-broken all of a sudden.
it makes one of two case usb ports half-broken. what i mean by this is that gamepads and some other devices aren't recognised, but usb drives are and they work perfectly. the other usb port functions fine.
if i plug the case usb cable into the second usb header on my motherboard, both case usb ports are fine; the issue is clearly the first usb header on my mobo.
so is this problem indicative of any other problems, or are there any inherent problems with using the second usb header on a mobo? because frankly, this motherboard sucks. and i have two of it, so i could return it for rma, or even (and this would be nice) request a (partial?) refund and return it for good. however if the first usb header being dead only means 'one usb header is dead' with no side-effects or indications of other faults, then i'll keep the mobo for now... because i'm lazy...
E: Solved. USB problems were caused by MSI drivers.
