Corsair HS40 USB headset

Plug them in, windows 7 recognises the device and installs the driver "successfully".

"Corsair HS40" appears in device manager, no problems. Except there is no sound or recording

However when I go to recording devices or playback devices, it's not there. I see only realtek devices for the audio ports, which are disables. I have it set to display all devices, it's just not there.

Also, "Corsair HS40" icon shows up in control panel after clicking on "hardware and sound", but when I click on it it says "please connect device".

I've googled and tried updating chipset/usb drivers but to no avail.

I've tried it on another computer and it worked fine. I've also tried another USB headset on this computer and got the same problem. Seems like it's a USB problem but all devices that aren't sound-related work fine. I've tried plugging into all of the ports.

At a loss... please help

Moved the mouse or keyboard to USB 3 and plug the headset to the USB 2 port?

Use a hub or a seperate USB expansion card.
