Hey guys,
I've been having this problem for a couple of months now; my USB Headset (HyperX Cloud II) will make a popping sound then disconnect before reconnecting a few seconds later, it seems totally random as at times it won't happen for a few days. The most annoying thing is that after it has reconnected I need to restart most of my running applications for the sound to work again (the sound works instantly as the headset reconnects, not just with some programs) for example I'll have to close and re-open Discord before it'll work there again.
I've actually recently had a replacement headset as the previous had a seperate issue (though also suffered this) also being the HyperX II. My headset prior to these didn't have the issue but didn't have a USB connection.
I've tried both of the front USB ports on my case which I believe are USB 3.0 ports (it's a Corsair 200R case) and this problem persists in either port.
I've googled the issue but hasn't been resolved by doing what my findings have suggested which are:
- Try other USB port (see above)
- Disable USB power turn-off in device manager
My system specs are in the spoiler
Would appreciate help to identify and resolve this issue
