Hello,

I bought a system with this motherboard just over a year ago from OCUK (OC3198992) and the headset (standard audio jack) that came with it is giving trouble so it's time for a replacement. My question is: can I use a USB headset (Turtle Beach) with this (Realtek) sound card?

TIA...

Yes.

Technically though, the sound card or onboard audio, whatever you'd like to call it, has nothing to do with any USB audio devices. USB devices are separate and have their own audio processing.

Thanks.

What does that mean in terms of potential issues when choosing/connecting a USB headset?

Some USB audio devices might require installing the manufacturer drivers in order to work with Windows (or make the most of it), other than that it should be pretty straight forward (unless Windows is being a pain in not detecting the device).
