Usb headset with Soundblaster z

I have a pair of wired HyperX cloud 2 headphones.

1. They came with a usb soundcard fob. Will they work (headphone and mic) without it, by plugging directly into my sound blaster z.

2. If so can I get an extension cable as the audio jack cable that plugs into the usb is very short.

3. Will there be a notable difference in quality using the usb soundcard Vs the Soundblaster Z

as for sound quality you will have to try them with the soundblaster too find out which suits you best
