USB Hub problems

I tryed asking this in windows forum, but got no replies

so i thought id ask here instead

Anybody on here got an Intel 975x Board and Vista

Just that i cant get any of the USB stuff to work. I insert a USB key, and it wants drivers for it. I have installed the intel chipset drivers, and asked the windows install to look at the windows disk, but it still wont install a simple USB memory key

it also wont install my USB hub on my monitor either. Just comes up as "unknown device"

I've got an Asus P5W DH Deluxe, and it's having problems with the USB receiver for the DH remote too

anybody got any suggestions ?

Have you got XP handy?

You can test if it's a hardware rather then software problem and vice versa.

i was running XP only a week ago

all this happened since i upgraded to vista.

Just seems wierd that its asking for drivers for a USB stick. I'm obviously not doing something right, but what ?
