Hello guys I'm in a new for a usb hub with 5m extension so I can plug my hyper alloy red led keyboard as well as my g700s mouse. I'm not sure if I need to go powered hub with a usb 3xtwnsion cable or simple usb hum. I would like it to be sub 3.0 and able to power my gear. Being able to charge a phone would be good too but not esebtial budget of up to 30 pounds. Any recomendations

Maximum recommend lengths are 5m for USB 2 and 3m for USB 3.
Charging gets worse the longer the cable. It's rare to find a 2m+ cable that doesn't charge so slowly you can't use the phone.
Keyboard and mouse should be fine. I have mine on individual extensions tied together, to reach my sofa. USB 2.
A USB hub will draw extra power, which isn't good with long cables. Alternative option is one extension, feeding a powered hub. Then you can charge too. But, you'd have to be plugged into the mains at your end too.
