usb hubs ?

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong section but i think its the nearest, just got back into the world of desktops and discovered that i dont have enough usb slots on the pc, so are hubs the way to go still or have things moved on in the last few years ?

Nothing has changed, you either use a USB hub or install an add-in card with additional ports on it.

Have you checked for any USB headers on the motherboard sitting unused?

I'm looking for a desktop hub. They seem quite expensive at £20-30. Do I need powered? (sorry for hijack) It should just be my mouse dongle, perhaps my fitbit charger.
