Why does my windows 8 usb install stay on the initial windows icon for 2 - 3 minutes before hitting the first page of choose your language?

Should happen more or less straight away.

Have reformatted the USB stick and the Fresh ISO off my windows 8 disk and used the official windows usb software.

The initial windows icon is probably displayed while it is loading, if the usb drive is slow then this will take a while to do.
