Evening,

Installed my 7950 the other day and installed the AMD crapware (drivers/CCC etc) then rebooted and when it had booted up again my keyboard and mouse didnt work. (Nor did any other USB ports)

It wasn't frozen as I was able to remote into it to uninstall the AMD stuff. Then rebooted and all was fine.

However I rebooted again the other day and the same thing happened. This time I remoted into it and rebooted and it seemed to work again.

I have had the issue again a few times and have tried various things (reinstalled CCC and uninstalling, rebooting etc) and it seems to be completely random.

Sometimes its fixed by a reboot, sometimes not.

Any ideas?

A few more system details would help, like what motherboard you using.
Did you use different graphic card before using 7950?

Perhaps a bios update would solve problems.

Apologies;

System spec is:

ASRock z68 extreme 4
16gb RAM
Crucial m4 128gb SSD
750w Lepa Powersupply

I used a 570gtx before.

One think I thought it could have been is that I am using the onboard and a 9600gt to run more screens.

Could conflicting drivers cause issues?

I have done that, and luckily my 9600gt still works to drive my other displays :)

however that wasn't the issue.

Turns out I needed to disable legacy USB support in the BIOS.

Fixed :)
