USB keeps disconnecting

I recently upgraded to the asus crosshair VIII X570 and have had endless issues with the USB3 since.
Some days I can use it for an hour before I get a problem and other days it can be 4+ hours then all of a sudden I get the windows notification for a disconnected / connected usb device.
Normal usb is fine, I’ve even tried the keyboard in the rear USB3. I can game for a while before the keyboard can disconnect several times then work fine again for hours, seems totally random

Im experiencing the same with the same MB - did you ever get to the bottom of this issue?

Sent the board back and bought a gigabyte. Doesn’t disconnect all the time like the asus did but what ever I connect gives an error, I then have to put it in another port for it to work.
Seriously thinking about going back to Intel.
System worked perfect before swapping the board and cpu so it’s one of the two.

Im thinking of sending mine back - is the gigabyte working? You mention it doesnt work with some USB devices? The rog software has broken my windows 10 install.. cant bring up the windows settings app now...
