USB Keyboard & Mouse on XBOX/PS3

I am wondering.

My sons keep on kicking my ARGH Sole on their consoles because I cannot use those pad things ( Disability issue )

Now with a keyboard I am much better.

Well I was wondering... Can I add a USB Keyboard and Mouse to the console and play the game through them instead of the controler?

I suppose it will depend on the game maybe?

Eagle Eye from Penguin United, works well apparently and a lot cheaper.
Decent support forum also.

I think any USB keyboard will work in a PS3 but only a few old games support it. I've never bothered trying with mine.
