I had a SanDisk Cruzer Edge 32GB memory stick that I used in the car for all the mp3's I listen to. At the weekend, I needed a large capacity flash drive for a job I was on, so I copied approx 28GB of data off the stick onto my storage drive and used the stick for the job.
When I've back to copying the data back onto the memory stick, I am getting chronically slow write speeds. It starts off when it is fully formatted at 4MB/s but now I'm about 80% in, it's down to 5kb/s and the projected finish time is 9 days.
I've tried changing the properties to performance mode, but it has had no effect. It is just because the cruzer edge drives are useless at large file size writes?
Cheers.
