Ok guys i need to pick your brains.
This is my first venture with wireless and this is how its setup
USB modem >nic>hub>wireless AP>Laptop(via wireless)
i dont know why but i cannot for the life of me get the laptop to surf the net or access files on the main computer. The wireless AP has a static IP of 192.168.0.50 The AP is also used as a DHCP server with the following setup.
The laptop gets a DHCP address of 192.168.0.2 and the computer nic get a DHCP address of 192.168.0.1 and the usb modem is assigned the address when its connected via the ISP.
The laptop connects to the AP without a problem and the computer nic gets is IP as soon as it is turned on but using the network wizard seams to make no changes to the way the connection is shared. Is it possible that ICS is not installed properly or the service has been disabled? the window firewall works but nothing elce?
Any ideas as to where im going wrong?
