USB Mug Warmer Issue!

Hmmm, not sure which post this should go in! GD or GH, but i'll post it here,

My girlfriend got me a handy USB Mug Warmer for Christmas (I'ma bit of a Tea Addict) and just plugged it in today, and it seems to be disabling rhe USB device plugged in next to it! Plugged it next to mouse, mouse stops working, unplug and it's fine, next to phone USB cable, phone disconnects from PC, plugged it into the 360 and it reset the 360 :eek:

Also doesn't seem to get warm at all, could it be a faulty USB Connection/Pulling too much power? Not sure at all!
 
Its probably overloading the USB port, try and plug it in on a port straight off the mobo, otherwise you could use a powered hub.
 
Ah ok, thanks! Would using it directly from a port on the back of a USB 2.0 card work ok as "straight from the board"?

If so i'll take it to hers now and have a go, as i don't have any mains powered USB hubs here :(

Yes USB card would probably be OK.
