Hi, thinking of getting a USB N wireless adapter, can anyone recommend one please...Belkin, Netgear etc.

Need it to use with Windows 7 32bit (and maybe 64bit).

Thank you for your time.:)

its for a desktop, i have a linksys PCI WMP300n at the moment, works fine in XP, but freezes in Vista and Win 7.

Tried the latest drivers, if you can call them that and still no joy.

Thanks :)

netgear don't support 64bit at present so steer clear. This for a laptop or desktop machine?

Currently using a Netgear WN121T USB 2 N adaptor in Windows 7 x64. The windows supplied drivers work as well as the Netgear ones ever did in XP or Vista. But for the record, Netgear provided x64 Vista drivers as well.

really? they didn't a few weeks ago when I went win7 64, in fact had a big faq on their page linking back to a MS article two hundred years old saying 64 would only pretty much never be for the home market.

will have another looksy.

Check the Microsoft update catalog for a driver (http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx). However, for me, there is also a 64 bit driver in the standard Netgear driver pack for the Wn121T.

As it happens, it doesnt work with Win7 ;) Hence I just use the one from the update catalog, however it worked fine in Vista, going to be a packaging problem i imagine as the driver itself will be compatible both ways.
